Martina's current research aims at contributing to the sociological literature on the Great Gatsby Curve by analysing the effects of socio-economic inequalities on the intergenerational transmission of (dis)advantages and on its underlying mechanisms (i.e. OED triangle).

Prior to her DPhil studies in Social Policy, Martina completed the Joint Degree MSc programme in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi University (110/110) and Université Catholique de Louvain (Distinction), and a BSc in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University. She is currently a member of Nuffield College, funded by a joint Clarendon-Nuffield Scholarship.

Aside from her studies, Martina had working experiences at the European Commission (DG ECFIN) in Luxembourg, and at SMEunited (Research Unit) in Brussels.
